On my way to sleep

Long days, my friends. Long ass days.

99.9% of our stuff is in the new place. 80% of it is still boxed. Due to the helter skelter grab and go technique we'd adopted as we neared the end of the moving, 100% of those boxes are poorly organized, unmarked messes that will take weeks to properly sort out.

My mission tomorrow is to clean the old place, and fix up the new stove so we can do some actual cooking. I brought home hot dogs and mac and cheese to have a meal on the cheap, but realized that I wasn't going to be able to even boil water on a stove with rusted out dishes under the electric coils.

On top of it all, I'm rushing to finish some serious heirloom lace on a deadline.

I'm in a new house!

Brett's been busting his hind end getting boxes and furniture moved over the last two days while
I've been working 7:30 to 11:00 and then 7:30 to 9:30 making money. I have felt terribly useless knowing that I'm not doing much moving. We borrowed a truck for the day tomorrow and we both have the day off so we're going to try to empty the old house and get it all into the new house.

The internet here is so fast I'm a little dizzy just typing this. The kitchen is repainted and completely awesome. The cell phone works almost all the time. And from where I'm sitting on a couch Brett moved ALL ALONE, watching our DTV and posting a blog, life is pretty good.

Catch you tomorrow!

VanGough cut his own ear off, you know...

Hi.

I'm still alive.

I'm moving into a new place. It's closer to town and a little smaller. Hopefully it will be less costly to heat and the landlords will be easier to deal with. The internet will be faster and cheaper and won't shut off if I use it too much. It'll be good.

But first we have to repaint the kitchen and dining room. So I'm working about 70 hours this week, painting a new house, packing things to move and I haven't had time for much else, sadly. Have faith that this too shall pass and September will be a month of blissful daily blog updates.

I hope.
