House Hunters

Brett and I are watching The Bulls play the Pacers! It's been bringing back fond memories of watching the Dream Team win six championships back in the day. I couldn't tell you anything about any of those games, but I remember them providing fun evenings.

We went to visit two new houses today in the Great House Hunt. Having put two offers on houses and being twice disappointed, I have these words of wisdom to offer the world:

When you think you know how buying a house works because you've watched House Hunters, you are wrong. That's the show where they take someone to look at three properties, all of which are beautiful, in the right price range, and empty. The buyer then decided between the property with the great yard, the one in walking distance of the beach, or the one with a home theater in the basement. They choose the house, low-ball the asking price, and move in the next week.

Yeah.

That is not what this is like.

I'm sure, like the job here KCF, that things will work out for us...eventually. It just adds stress that I'm not dealing with well right now in the first place.

Just keep telling yourself that it will be worth it in the end - and it will be!
